I like some of the spanish guitar stuff. spanish romance, flight of the bumble bee, capricho Arabe and others. Paco delucia and such are very good classical artists.

I like the heavy duty stuff, Tchikovski, Wagner, Richard Straus.

Hate Baroc, and Bach drives me to distraction (usually leading to sleep).

My all time favorite is Tchikovski's sixth symphony known as the patathique symphony. Fantastic.

Good question.

I love classical music, probably because I've played quite a lot of it in orchestra over an eight-year period.

The Spanish guitar stuff is cool, but I also like composers such as: Beethoven, some of JS Bach's organ stuff, Elgar, Vaughan Williams, Ludovico Einaudi, Ravelle, Rachmaninov, Tschaikovsky, Rimpsky-korsikov, some Gershwin, Aaron Copland, Richard Strauss, Satie, and there's probably more but I can't think of any at the moment.

I love the 1812 overture and several works by Mozart ,including his Lacrimosa, not the plagerised version by evenessance. Hmm Peter and the Wolf by prokofiev and the hebridean overture by mendahlsson.

You've good taste mate I taught you well.
I've have to admit to being a rookie where
the classics are concerned, but I'm a quick learner and
Beethoven's Eroica is incredible..
My neighbours can tell you all about it.

Well, on the issue of classical music, I like mozart, Bach, handel, Puccini, both of the Strous's, whoever wrote Rigoletto, and...and...yeah. Oh yeah, Verdi and Aaron Coplin. And Chopin! lol

I'm a bit ignorant where classical music is concerned but I do have my pieces that I like. For example, I love Mozart's Piano Concerto in A major and La Fille Aux Cheveux de Lin. I also like anything played by Sarah Chang on violin. Has anyone ever heard of her?

Good topic! This is hard for me, because I like so much music that its hard to narrow it down. I like Haydn, because of the little twists and turns he puts into his music. I enjoy the complexity of baroque music. Renaissance is fun to play, because the phrases aren't always even, and the harmonic structure gets interesting at times.

Interesting topic.

I once fell asleep during the Hyden surprise symphony with the predicted result.

I like the heavy handed dudes.

Tchikovski is my favorite with his sixth symphony coming in first. I'll listen to it any time any place.

I also like Richard Straus "death and resurrection" being my favorite from him.

And, of course, the Wagner operetic preludes.

Somebody turn up the stereo!

I too, am a beginner in the classical music world, but loving it so far! It is like a whole other language, so much to learn. Franz Joseph Haydn is my favorite at this time. I'm enjoying Mozart, Franz Danzi, Berlioz, and so many more. I've begun a wish list of sorts, of pieces and composers I'd like to buy.

Has anyone heard of www.archivmusic.com
?
It's a great site to purchase and look up classical music. You can search by composer, performer, cd title, label, and more! Check it out!

I hated classical music when I was a kid but now I do enjoy hearing it. I love Hendels water music. I love to here the harpsicord and flute or recorder together. I also like a lot of composers to.
